An American woman wanders into a Turkish antique store and chances into a moment of humanity with the shopkeep that changes her quality of life.
While working in Ürgüp, Turkey in 2016, I was wandering around town on a day off and chanced into meeting an antique shopkeeper that immediately struck me as a captivating human being, and I ended up spending the entire afternoon with him and his son at his shop talking about anything and everything. The two of them played music for me (which the film is scored with), told me about the time Nic Cage came to his store while they were shooting Ghost Rider, and shared a touching story about an American woman he once met there that was so good I went home and wrote the script that became this film that same night.
