SIDEQUESTs are where all three of the ISoH dudes – JAB, Jae, & Josh – incrementally fiddle with an old-school RPG, start to finish, with the assistance of vintage game literature – and we pod about it, in incredibly in-depth fashion, the entire way.

Third in line for SIDEQUEST treatment was a childhood favorite of JAB and Josh – Nintendo of America’s 1990 release of Square-developed Final Fantasy on the Nintendo Entertainment System.  For accompanying literature we utilized both the pack-in instruction manual, an 80-page ditty titled the Explorer’s Handbook, as well as the official Nintendo Power Strategy Guide, an 81-page bible by which JAB and Josh lived by in the early 90’s.
